Local Entrepreneur Jason Hope Makes Donation To Police Officers Of Scottsdale Association
Hope's Donation Goes Towards POSA's "Back to School Shop With a Cop" Event Benefiting Underprivileged Scottsdale-Area Students
SCOTTSDALE, AZ, August 2, 2010 – Scottsdale-based businessman Jason Hope is pleased to announce his donation to the Police Officers of Scottsdale Association's "Back to School Shop with a Cop" program, an annual event that helps underprivileged students start the school year on the right foot. Hope's donation helps to enable 450 children to go back-to-school shopping for new shoes, clothes, backpacks and other school supplies. At the event, the children will also have the opportunity to be fingerprinted by the DPS East Valley Gang Task Force.
“Providing students in our community, especially those that are disadvantaged, with the physical tools they need for success, be that a book, a backpack or a new pair of shoes, is crucial. POSA allows these kids to kick off the school year fresh, looking and feeling good and hopefully, confident; I'm extremely proud to donate to such a wonderful cause,” said Jason Hope.
Hope, along with some of his employees, will attend the August 4 "Back to School Shop with a Cop" event at the Scottsdale Civic Center. Hope looks forward to partnering up with POSA on future events to benefit the Scottsdale community.
